Signature Blends - High Mountain Green

A Huang Shan Mao Feng taken only from the bud and first adjacent leaf

This exceptional green tea grows in the famous tea town of Huang Shan in eastern China. Huang Shan translates as Yellow Mountain whilst Mao Feng means downy tip in reference to the appearance of the tiny whole leaves of tea. After the tea is selected, the delicate bud and leaf are gently hand-rolled into a curve the tea pickers call sparrow's tongue.

This delicious tea is best suited for sitting back and enjoying several small cups of exquisite refreshment. It is said the first cup from the pot is the most fragrant, the second the sweetest and the third the strongest. With such wonderful character, it's clear to see why it's so renowned.

Well-balanced and with hints of magnolia, this tea's liquor is bright, clear and pale green. Among the very best green teas, it is extremely refined and remarkably smooth: a thirst-quenching delight with gently exotic fruit notes. This blend is best enjoyed without additions.

Good

Bought this as a Mother's Day gift and came very promptly. The product was packaged very nicely upon arrival in a very interesting sliding box , inside there was too small tea boxes and a little metal spoon to scoop the tea with (which I thought was an excellent touch to the set).As for the taste? Have not tried this but upon inspection I smelled a rich green tea aroma which must therefore be of good quality, the person I bought this for loved it and said its better than the tea she has, very pleased mighty try another flavour

Bad

The green tea wasn't fresh. The taste was poor. The other signature blends -> assam and earl grey are also not fresh and disapointing
