This notice sets out how we use your personal data when you book to attend our Masterclasses, whether hosted in-house or online.

In this notice ‘we’, ‘our’ and ‘us’ means R. Twining and Company Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company number 5525071) and whose registered office is at Weston Centre, 10 Grosvenor Street, London W1K 4QT.

Your Personal Data

When you make a booking for a Masterclass we will collect your name, telephone number and email address. We will use this to ensure that we can confirm your booking and update you with any changes or any information we consider you need prior to the Masterclass taking place.

Legal Basis

We collect this information as it is necessary for the purpose of providing the Masterclass and for the purposes of carrying out our contractual responsibilities to you.

Retention and Transfer of Your Data

Your information will only be retained for as long as is necessary in relation to delivering the Masterclass and ensuring that the service provided was satisfactory. Typically, we delete this information after 1 month after the class has been attended.

Information we collect from you is stored within, and not transferred outside of, the United Kingdom.

Sharing Your Data

We will share your data with our service providers and our professional advisers if this is necessary in order to resolve a query or complaint.

Otherwise we will not share your information with any third party unless:

  • we have your permission;
  • we are required to do so by law;
  • this is necessary so that we can enforce our terms of use, rights or property or the rights or property of any third party; or
  • this is necessary in connection with the sale of our business or its assets (in which case your details will be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser’s advisers and will be passed to the new owners).

Your Rights

Data protection law gives you rights to ask us to rectify, block, complete and delete your personal data, and to restrict its use. You also have the right to request a copy of your personal data and to object to the processing of your data by us in some circumstances. There are exceptions to these rights, however. For example, it will not be possible for us to delete your data if we are required by law to keep it or if we hold it in connection with a contract with you. Similarly, access to your data may be refused if making the information available would reveal personal information about another person or if we are legally prevented from disclosing such information.

If you wish to access your personal data or exercise any of your rights, you should contact The Strand Team at The.Strand@twinings.com. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk) or your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe that your rights have been breached.
