China Green

£6.50 sku LTFCG0614-125L | Net weight: 125g

Loose Leaf Green Tea.

Origin

The Chinese have cultivated green tea for more than four thousand years, each region's harvest having its own subtly different characteristics.  This fine tea is from Zhejiang and Hunan Provinces in Eastern and South-Central China, fertile territories whose subtropical climate lends itself perfectly to tea production.

Tea Description

This is a super example of a green Sencha style tea, where the leaves are heated by steam rather than by direct heat.  Treated this way, the leaves retain their silkiness and produce a light, yellow-green liquor.  The flavour is full of refreshing grassy notes with hints of asparagus.

Loose leaf tea made simple. Take a look at our fabulous teapots (some come with a built-in strainer) and tea strainers.

Good

Tried just once so far. It was very different to what I'm used to as I drink the pomegranate green tea and love it. As this was loose tea it was a fresher cleaner feel but don't want to make too much of it as only tried the once.

Tea Tasters Club - China Green

What's so interesting about this tea is its silky needle like appearance, which is characteristic of a Sencha, or steamed tea and unique to green tea.
