Green Assam OP

£15.00 sku LTAG0614-75L | Net weight: 125g

Loose Leaf Green Tea

An unusual green tea from the Assam region of North East India.  Assam's tea gardens are found on the low-lying, hot and humid plains adjacent to the mighty Brahmaputra river, and are famous for their strong black teas.  In contrast, this tea has pronounced grassy and woody notes.

Tea Description

This is a high quality Orange Pekoe grade of tea, produced by careful plucking of the young leaves and repeated rolling and drying.  When infused in hot water the liquor is a clear, pale gold with a slightly scented aroma.  The flavour is strong and astringent, initial sweetness yielding to pronounced grassy, woody notes.

Loose leaf tea made simple. Take a look at our fabulous teapots (some come with a built-in strainer) and tea strainers.

Tea Tasters Club - Green Assam OP

Assam is an ingredient that you would usually find in an English Breakfast tea, however, this particular Assam is very unusual as it’s a fine grade tea that has been processed the Green Tea way. The young greenish leaves, full of tip are what make this tea extremely high quality.
