More about the Product

Ingredients

Green Tea, Spearmint (20%), Rose Petals (2%), Rose Flavouring.

Our brewing guidance

Brew to your taste.  Start with freshly boiled water and brew one teaspoon of tea per person in a teapot or infuser.
To gauge your tastes, brew and taste after each minute to find the point of tea intensity that is to your liking to allow the minty, floral flavours to come through.  We recommend about 1-2 minutes.

Best drunk without milk.

TEA CULTURE IN MOROCCO

It’s believed that tea was first introduced to Morocco during the 18th century, where it quickly became popular and the nation’s people gave it a unique twist by adding mint leaves when they brewed it.

If you spend any time in Morocco, you’re guaranteed to be served some delicious hot mint tea, or Touareg as it’s known.

This drink is fully engrained in Moroccan culture and strongly linked to hospitality. Mint tea is typically poured into tall glasses over three servings, each serving having a unique flavour. Whilst you drink the tea, you are meant to reflect on the wishes and meanings regarding life, love and death, the first serving being as “gentle as life”, the second glass is “as strong as love” and the third being “as bitter as death”.

MOROCCAN MINT WITH ROSE

Made from green tea leaves and spearmint, the infusion of rose petals adds a one-of-a-kind flavour that invokes feelings of hazy summer evenings where the fragrant blossoms from flowering plants fill the air. Soothing and comforting, this tea is great for sharing with your guests and loved ones.
For best results use clean, fresh water and - once boiled - allow it to cool for a few minutes. If you’re using a teapot, add one teaspoon of the tea per person (and one for the pot if you prefer it stronger).

Let the tea brew for a little bit longer than normal - about four minutes. This gives the leaves enough time to fully release all those fabulous sweet flavours and aromas.
