On London’s Strand, just opposite the Royal Courts of Justice, is the famous Twinings shop.

People come from all over the world to visit us. Not just because of our huge selection of teas, and our range of coffees and hot chocolate, but because our shop is one of the oldest in London.

In fact, it’s the very same shop that Thomas Twining opened in 1717, making it the oldest shop that’s been trading from the same site since it opened.

Back then it was a tea and coffee shop called the Golden Lyon (have a look at the figures above the door). Today, it’s home to hundreds of kinds of teas, as well as coffees, hot chocolate, and everything you’ll ever need to make the perfect cup.

There’s also a small museum at the back of the shop where you can find out all about the Twinings family and the world of tea. So next time you’re passing, why not pop in? Mark, the manager, would love to see you there.

216 Strand, London, WC2 1AP. The nearest tube station is Temple, and we’re about ten minutes away from Charing Cross

When are we open?

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Saturdays, 10am to 4pm.
